Our Commitment
New Blue Health is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that access to health information and telehealth services is a matter of equity, and we actively work to make our platform usable for all individuals, regardless of ability. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards throughout our design and development process.
Accessibility Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including individuals with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments. Our target standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which covers a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible.
Current Accessibility Features
Our platform includes the following accessibility features: semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading levels for screen reader navigation; sufficient color contrast ratios for text and interactive elements; keyboard navigability for all interactive controls; descriptive alt text for meaningful images; form labels associated with their input elements; skip navigation links for keyboard users; and responsive design for use on a wide variety of device sizes.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of our platform may not fully meet these standards, particularly in complex interactive components such as multi-step forms and dynamic content areas. We are actively working to address these gaps in ongoing development cycles.
Requesting Accommodations
If you need information in an alternative format, require assistance accessing any part of our platform, or would like to request a specific accommodation, please contact us at admin@newbluehealth.com. We will make every reasonable effort to provide the information you need in an accessible format or through an alternative channel.
Reporting Accessibility Barriers
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website or in our telehealth services, please email us at admin@newbluehealth.com with a description of the barrier and the page or feature where you encountered it. We review all accessibility reports and prioritize remediations based on impact. We aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within 5 business days.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time project. We conduct periodic accessibility audits, incorporate feedback from users with disabilities, and include accessibility requirements in our development standards. We welcome your feedback as a key part of improving the experience for all users.
